Thursday, July 7th was a slow day. We got home so late from girls camp the night before and David had had such a busy day with Grandpa, Uncle Joel and Uncle Clif, that it was hard to get moving. But David wanted to go back to bed and that is NOT normal. They must have worn him out pretty good going to the movies and playing in th sprinklers, etc. He had a bit of a fever and just wanted to sleep. Poor little guy. I felt so bad! We got our bean bag out of the freezer to put on his head. He said that helped it feel better.
He slept a lot and layed on the couch a lot. Grandma went to the store and bought tylenol and popsicles...both of which perked him up for a little bit and then he'd sleep again.
When he got feeling better he and I put together the Cars puzzle...but he didn't want me to take his picture. So here is the puzzle we did.
Jacob is helping his mommy spell words as we played a game of Quiddler...
This is a fun card came that my SIL Randa introduced us to many years ago...
Joel played with us too, and if you look closely, you will see David in the background talking to his daddy on the phone. He was definitely feeling better by evening and Grandma was so glad! I'm sure eating more popsicles had something to do with it...
In the evening David went out and helped Clif wash his car. He enjoyed being up off the couch and doing something where he could get a little wet...we had planned on going swimming but since he wasn't feeling too well we didn't go...
David is a big helper and we sure are happy he was feeling better...it was nice to have a lazy day though and not stress over anything (like baking 130 cookies)! We just enjoyed playing games and watching movies...two of the McKinneys favorite things...
Next up...McKinney Reunion...stay tuned!
