Soccer season!

Of course, before the school year is even over we have to start soccer!  Practices during the week (times 3 this year!) and games on Saturdays (three games each week!).  David is getting better all the time.  Jacob is the biggest one on his team so he makes a lot of goals.  And watching Lilly's team (all girls) is so different!  Girls giggling and doing cartwheels etc.  Quite a different experience.  This is Lilly's first year so she hangs back a bit, but she is getting the hang of it.  She is enjoying it!  Some days we sit in the rain and freeze, other days we are burning up and wearing hats and sunblock!  Soccer season is always interesting!  Here are a few pictures of each of them in their games.  We like to see them being active and having fun with their friends!

Lilly scored the first goal for her team (after several games of no goals)...it was awesome!

Misc. End of School Year stuff...

So may things going on at the last of the school year besides 1st grade programs, field and water days, park days, and dance festivals (whew!).  The kindergarten classes put on little short plays.  Jacob was the cutest sheep!  My pictures are blurry, sorry.  He did really good on his one line.  Lilly painted a cactus for a talent show.  Lilly and David were in the "Spring Sing" and did a great job.  Again, the pictures are blurry.  They looked cute and performed well.  Zander saw them up there with their class and kept calling their names (each grade sang one song).  He clapped when they were done too.  Joel came and recorded them so their parents could see/hear it later.  They are sad they can't be there, but Grandma is happy to fill in for them!  Is there anything cuter than Kindergarten writing?  Jacob brought home some of the cutest things, I just had to take a few pictures!  And of course, we have to have last day of school pictures as well.  We took Jacob's with Mrs. Bowles.  He finished a day early.  Then the next day he jumped in again for last day pictures.  School was out at 10 a.m. I am not sure why they bother going that day...ha! We have learned that Mrs. Bowles is switching to second grade next year.  We hope Lilly gets her!  Then all three of them will have had her.  She is a great teacher!  It has been a great year and these kids did great for changing schools the last few months of the year.  Grandma is very proud of all of them and loved every performance!

"I ate cereal for breakfast. I went to school and I practiced my play."
 "I am scared of spiders."

"I stayed at my house then I went to church I sang a song."

"Once upon a time there was a dragon named Zac. He lived in a cabin. He met a dog . The dog said hello and they became friends." CUTE!!

Lilly's first grade program...

Another end of school event..Ms. Andrus' first grade program.  We attended this last year with David's class.  So cute!  We hope Jacob gets Ms. Andrus next year so we can watch it one more time!  They sing songs that tell you what all they learned about this year.  Lilly was in her element!  Singing and dancing.  She had a lot of fun.  She did a good job on her speaking part and tried hard to look mean during their performance of the Haka.  It was cute to watch her.  Zander and Jacob watched too. I got a little teary eyed seeing the cute girl up there that is a little insecure and just needs love.  And of course "God Bless the USA" always makes me cry too.  It was a great program. The program was in the afternoon so Jacob was already home from kindergarten.  Nate made it in time to record it so everyone else could watch it later.  Good job Lilly!
