Here comes the first company...they looked great! Downhill was the easy part!

The handcarts were awesome...the kids had fun with them...I will do a separate post about our reenactment...it was powerful...

I was paid forward!

I got my first pay it forward gift! My sis-in-law Randa made me the cutest patriotic pillow! I love it! thank you Randa! It is embroidered and has red star fabric in front and blue star fabric in back. I love having things you have made in my home. I have only done 2 of my pay it forward gifts...I need to get crackin' and get the other two done! I better go get busy. Thanks again and everybody pay it foward!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday. She would be 75! Wow...what an incredible life she has had. I love reading her life story and remembering all the places she has been and all the things she has done. She was always a wonderful example to me of giving service. All she ever wanted to do was help people. I hope to continue to learn from her as I sort through her things, read her journals, and look at the pictures from her past.

I couldn't figure out why I didn't remember my dad on his birthday...and when I looked back (a couple weeks after the fact) I realized that was the day Miss Hillary was having surgery and we were having stake conference with President Uchdorf! I just got side tracked I guess. Anyway, happy birthday to both my parents...I miss them both and love them very much!

Sacramento weekend...

Dave and I are in Sacramento for the Easter weekend. It has been a beautiful weekend so far! Yesterday we were able to attend the beautiful Sacramento temple. I recommend it to anyone willing to drive up here! When we went in (it was pouring rain!) I was asking one of the workers which way to the changing room and a gentleman overheard us saying we were visitors here and he asked us to be the witness couple! That was so cool! Anyway, it was a wonderful session and I could have sat in that celestial room all day! It is beautiful. When we came out of the temple, the sun was shining and a bride and groom were about ready to come out. There were crowds on the front porch waiting...

The next beautiful thing we got to do yesterday was attend a stake musical called "The Garden" written by Michael McClean. It wasn't what I expected, but it was beautiful and stirring. A lot to ponder about the garden of gethsemane and the "man with many names."

Now today we are going to visit, eat, go out on the town and just have a pleasant day! The sun is shining and we are happy to be here! tomorrow we will have a family dinner with part of my family...the boys will be home alone but have good friend who I'm sure will be looking after the. I wish all of my friends and family a beautiful easter weekend and want you to know how much you all mean to me! My life would be boring and dull without you all! I am grateful for our Savior and His atoning sacrifice for ME. I have a testimony that He LIVES and loves us and knows us each personally. I look forward to the day when I can kneel at His feet and thank Him in person.
