The day had finally arrived...we only had two weeks notice that Amanda and the boys would be coming from Georgia for a visit!!! She found a good ticket price and bought them on the spot...we were so excited! After thinking they weren't going to get to come, it actually happened and this Grandma could not be any happier! The countdown started and on July 4th, we were at the airport at noon to meet that plane!!!
Ashley and Joel came with me ~ Joel really is happy to be there, he just doesn't like me taking pictures of him! Ashley and I were very excited...Dave came a little later to drive up and pick up the luggage...We anxiously watched this new monitor they have that shows the passengers coming down the long hallway...we spotted them!!! (The stroller was a good giveaway).
We watched them walking towards us...David being so good to hold onto the stroller and stay right with his mom...
When they got closer to the doors and he could see us, she let him run on ahead! The picture is blurry because he is RUNNING...it was so fun!!!
He gave Grandma a great big hug! It was wonderful!!! It's so fun that he's old enough now to remember me!
He had his little back pack on and his red, white and blue outfit...it was fun to greet him! Auntie Ashley got hugs too...and of course so did Amanda, it just isn't all caught on camera...
Happy times on this happy fourth of July!
It had been a long weary day of travel for them (they left Atlanta at 7:30 a.m. so you know they got up a lot earlier than that!)...but even with the long day, Jacob was all smiles and happy, even though he was being a little shy at first...we are so excited to have these Georgia kids here and look forward to a fun-filled 9 days!!!! We wish their daddy Dale could have come with them...hopefully next time!
Up next, our Happy Fourth BBQ...

Oh I can imagine the excitement in that airport! We were just there recently for my nephew's homecoming and I didn't know about those monitors...what a sweet deal!
