A few fun things...

A few more fun pics from Christmas time at our house...and I found a couple more gift opening pictures that I want to add...

Ashley opening her presents....a new Disney movie to add to her collection...

Clif with his new football "grip" gloves...(I'm sure they have a proper name, I just don't know what they are called...)

Ashley etched this mirror for a gift...I love it when people make homemade gifts!  It took her a long time and she poured her heart and soul into it...it turned out great!

Amanda trying out Joel's pull up bar...

Dale tried it out too...I think he broke the record on number of pull ups!

And of course little David had to have a turn!  I could never seem to get a picture of Joel doing it...but he does use it!  Watch for his arm muscles to get bigger...

I think I have a new picture for the bathroom!  There is a picture of little David in grandma's bathtub, now we can add Jacob to the wall!  He smiles and splashes until the camera comes out...go figure...he makes such serious faces...cute boy!

Two different times we bought two cases of vegetables and stacked them on the floor...then we'd come back into the kitchen and some of the cans would be missing, and finally, ALL the cans were gone...TWO times this happened...(by the way, we are stocking up while they are 58 cents a can!)

Little David had been helping put them all away...one can at a time...I never saw him do it, but he did.  Thank you David for being such a great helper!!

Christmas 2010 ~ Joy!

First we had our Chirstmas Eve dinner...Ham and yummy potatoes amongst other things...We missed our family that wasn't here to join in the feast with us...but we know that they are all adults and have "significant others" so their time must be split between families...

The playing of the glasses was re-enacted for the Stewarts and they heartily joined in!  Dad's limeade slush was a hit as always...it is our favorite!  Served at our wedding reception and MANY times since...

We enjoyed our meal and the entertainment...

Jacob had fun too...and he's all in his Christmas PJ's ready for Santa to come!

Dale even tried the musical game but he didn't care for it too much...he must have sensitive ears...

After dinner and games...we put out all our stockings.  TEN...count 'em!  Hope Santa has something for each one...

Santa did come...and he did fill all 10 stockings...

Santa ate most of the goodies and milk we left out for him...

There is an ornament for David...it says "Believe" and it lights up and changes colors....

And a Baby's first Christmas ornament (did you know Santa collects Noah's arks?)...so cute!

When David came out to see if Santa had been here...he went right past the tree and straight to the goodie plate!  He was sure that the goodies that were left were for him! "I like cookies!" It was so cute...

Then he went to his stocking and that candy cane full of chocolate kisses was his favorite gift!  If Santa had known he could have gotten off so easy!

Santa brought David some Buzz and Woody toys just like he asked for!

It was fun to just sit and watch David open his presents...the excitement and happiness of a little child is so much fun!

Grandpa traditionally hands out all the gifts...

Sleepy Joel openings his stockpile...he was up earlier than normal for us...again, the joy of little ones in the house!

Amanda looking at her t-shirt quilt I made...out of her old t-shirts from her EFY's, Girls camp, orchestra and volleyball days...

We all had fun and made a big mess...and David still hung onto that candy cane!

Clif even came out and joined us...EARLY!  It was so much fun!

Jacob spent some time slurping on Grandpa's shoulder...he just kept chomping...maybe he's working on teeth?  I don't think so, but he likes to stick out his tongue! He is just so cute!  All chunky four and half months of him!!

Grandpa got pretty soggy...

Ashley and Clark joined us later in the day....everyone loves their turn with Jacob!

Clark got a laptop sleeve from his "secret santa" ~ the siblings draw names each year...it's fun to see what they get each other...

Jacob the Elf's first Christmas!  We are sure happy that his family came from Georgia to spend it with us!  And we love his little Christmas pj's complete with hat!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my family and am happy to have had ALL of them here for Christmas!

Christmas eve...snow day!!

We decided to drive up to Shaver and play in the snow for a little bit. It turned out to be the perfect day for it! The weather was amazing ~ we didn't even keep our coats on! Little David had a blast sliding down the hill and making snowballs (he mostly liked eating them!). Here are a few of the many pictures we took up there...

The view from the top of the hill...
David with one of his snowballs...

Joel and David zipping down the hill...

Amanda, Dale, David and Jacob...

Joel, Ashley and David building little snowmen and making snowballs, which of course David is eating...

Ashley and David going for a spin...David loved it!

Amanda and David sailing on down the hill...

Joel's turn! He and Dad could go pretty fast!

Dave throwing snowballs...

Dale and David at the top ready to go!

I was in the car with the sleeping baby for awhile and didn't see Dave go down, but I hear he went pretty quick and even caught a little air! Woo hoo!

This is actually from yesterday (first sunny day!) David and Clif played a little frisbee in the back yard...

Good form David!

Yay Uncle Clif! David had such fun...

and...since I gave these all away tonight, I can finally post what I was crafting while the girls were baking the other day...they turned out okay...I will have to try some new designs next year... and NOW...the children are nestled all snug in their beds after our nice Christmas dinner...we have cleaned up and the adults are going to play a few games before Santa comes. It has been a wonderful day. Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost here!

We finally have a sunny day! After the days and days and days of rain...today was a sunny day! So we were finally able to take family pictures! Here's three of my favorite boys ready to go to the park and smile for the camera!

Here's a couple of sneak previews to our pictures...The cute little Stewart family from Georgia...

Grandma and Grandpa with the grandsons...stay tuned for the "Real" pictures in a future post (as soon as we get them back from our photographer!)

After pictures David played on the playground...THEN, since it was such a nice sunny day, we knew the evening would be clear and the perfect time to go walk candy cane lane! Everyone else thought it was a great idea too...tons of people! But we had fun...Grandpa, Grandma, Dale, Amanda and David all went walking...Dale is taking his jacket off because it was a perfect weather night!
We saw the grinch! He was pretty nice though, and David got a candy cane so it was fun...he wouldn't sit with the Grinch though, Daddy had to hold him...

We saw all kinds of houses decked out for the holidays...so many lights, all so pretty!

Lights everywhere!

David, Grandpa and Grandma in front of some of the lights...

What a fun day! We cannot believe Christmas will be here so soon!!
