Girls camp...with Amanda and Jacob!

Amanda, Jacob and I left Wednesday morning to drive up to girls camp at Huntington Lake.  It was a beautiful day, a nice drive, and fun company!!  Here is Jacob ready to go flirt with all those girls!

 We borrowed a back pack from the triplets' mom Nicole, and boy are we glad we had that!  Jacob was in it most of the afternoon and evening and he was a happy boy the whole time! 

 He didn't fuss one time...and the girls all wanted to see him and talk to him and know his name...he was a real hit up there!

 Amanda helped us set up the faith walk...Bro. Kennington and Bro. Burnett built our "Iron Rod."

 After our yummy turkey and mashed potato dinner, (my favorite!) and peach cobbler, we got all the YCL's in place for the faith walk...Here are our "Great and Spacious Building" people...who mock the people holding to the rod...

 Here is Connie, running the "mist of darkness" machine...(she had a bit of fun with that!)...also next to her was the recording of the river...everyone was supposed to be very quiet as they did the faith walk, so hopefully they heard it...

 Here are our "tempters" who did a great job getting people to let go of the rod...they lined the trail and did their best to tempt them away...

 When they were faithful and held on...they reached the "Tree of Life" where they were able to pick their "white fruit" and enjoy it.  Mallory was the reader by the tree..it's hard by the picture to see how pretty the tree was all lit up and covered with the little white bags...take my word for it, it looked great.

 Arriving back at the campfire after the faith walk we held our testimony meeting.  What a beautiful, spiritual experience it always is.  I had to get a picture of Terry dabbing at her eyes...because it starts with the very first testimony every time!  :)  Love ya Terry!!  What a wonderful camp..the theme was "Your Happily Ever After" based on Pres. Uchtdorf's talk of the same title and the camp leaders did an amazing and beautiful job.  We have such special girls in our stake...it was  beautiful to be up there even if just for a little while.  I do love working with the young women and it was especially fun to be there with Amanda and Jacob!  10 years ago was our first girls camp at Camp Keola and I was the camp director back then...a lot of fond memories from there!!

After testimony meeting we served them "Crown" sugar cookies for their Happily Ever After.  They made the trip up the mountain without breaking and thanks to Sis. Seamon's helpful frosting hint, they didn't stick together either.  They were a yummy end to the evening! 

 We left to drive home after the meeting and arrived home about midnight.  Jacob slept all the way home.  I cannot believe what a great traveler he was...such a good baby!  This last picture is just a close up of what was on our "Tree of Life."  A little bag with a rolled up quote from Pres. Uchtdorf's talk, a chocolate kiss, and a magnet made out of a clear stone with a crown on it that says, "Daughter of a King."  The crown stickers came in several different colors and turned out so pretty when we put the stones over them.  I hope the girls enjoy them and look at them often to remember that they truly are princesses and can have a Happily Ever After!
