Bowling and the car wash...

Time is running out for the Georgia kids' Christmas visit!  And the year is running out too...Oh no!  We gotta squeeze a couple more fun things in!  Little David thought it would be fun to go bowling...and we agreed...I can't get over these cute little bowling shoes!

 Grandpa and I were getting sick (again!) so we didn't really feel like bowling, so we watched and had Joel take more pictures for us!

 When it wasn't Jacob's turn to bowl, he sat by me and ate crackers...and I took his picture...this is his "Cheese" face...too funny!

 David has some good techniques with that bowling ball!

 Jacob liked help from his mom...

 Sometimes he used this gadget that you just push the ball down and it rolls down the alley...see the ball stuck in the gutter?  That came from the lane next to us and another child trying to bowl!

 It was a fun time at the bowling alley!  Can't wait to do it again sometime with them...

 And of course while they were here, we had to go to the car wash!  Grandpa's car was pretty dirty after our trip up to the snow...the boys wore their Cars slippers...how appropriate!

 They like getting suckers at the car wash...and watching the water and soap...Jacob wasn't nervous this time like he was last time they were here...I think he had fun this time around!

All clean and ready to back to Grandma's house and have some more fun together!  I am so sad they have to leave tomorrow!  The new year will be too quiet and we will miss them!

Snow much fun!

On Thursday, Dec. 27th, we went to play in the snow!  It was a gorgeous day at Shaver Lake and we had tons of fun!  Here are just a bunch of random pictures of the fun we had!  We'll start with Joel demonstrating how to stay on your toboggan!

 And snowball fights with uncles are a must!

Sweets for the sweet!

David kept asking when we were going to go to the ice cream store.  One of the first things he asked when they arrived!  He remembers it from last time I guess...he said, "Grandma, it's the best part of your city!"  So of course we had to go!  I will have to tell Brother Swinney what little David thinks of his store!

Yodigity Yogurt is...it's not really ice cream, but don't tell David that!  It's so fun to pick your flavors, then pick your toppings...Mommy let them pick two toppings...Joel is in the green shirt loading up his toppings...It looks like we were the only ones in the store, but other customers came in while we were there.  I guess frozen yogurt might not be as popular when it's so cold outside, but that didn't stop us!

 They give you samples at Yodigity if there is a flavor you want to try...so Jacob tried one!  David did too!

 Yummy stuff!  I think David is right, this is the best part of our city!  We sure like to go there!  It's becoming tradition now when anyone comes to town...it's the place to go!

 Grandma had some too...but I was taking the pictures!  I had the no sugar added...it was just as good!

 Jacob could be the poster child for Yodigity!  He loved it down to the last drop!

Another night we decided we needed to try out the pizookie pans!  "Pizza Cookies" or "Skookies" as David and Jacob call  them (skillet cookies).  You push your dough into the little pans - this one is about 5 inches across, then we had two that were about 3 inches across.  The perfect size for little guys...then you bake it not quite all the way...so it's a little bit gooey in the middle...I forgot to take a picture until we had already split this one...

 then you put your ice cream right on top of the warm cookie!

 They were delish!  They were so yummy in fact, we did them on two different nights!  We love the pizookie pans and will be using them a lot!  

I think I see another tradition at Grandmas's house...
