We were trying to see things and do things on this trip that we have never done. So my goal this day was to go to the Tiki Room. We have done the Golden Horseshoe review on another trip, so this time it was the Tiki Room. Going to that is the best way to get a Dole Whip! No long lines! As you sit outside the Tiki Room eating your delicious Dole Whip the different totems talk and explain who they are and what they stand for. Once you go inside it's a show with tropical birds singing. It's not anything very exciting, but it was cool and shady, we got our Dole Whip, and we can say we have been in the Tiki Room! We enjoyed the day just riding whatever we wanted and not worrying about lines. We did get fast passes for Star Tours (the only way we will do that ride forevermore!) and we even got them for Haunted Mansion. That line usually moves pretty fast so isn't a big deal, but it sure is fun to just walk up the front steps and go in the front door! There are no fast passes for Pirates of the Caribbean but that line usually moves pretty fast too. There was a cute family in front of us with several children. The mom was holding a sleeping baby. The little boy (maybe 3 years old) was having a hard time. I let him use my squirt/fan bottle even though the fan wasn't working. He enjoyed squirting himself and his sibling and it kept him happy until we got to the ride. Amazing what a little water on a warm day can do for someone. We ate dinner at the Plaza Inn (another first) and it was pretty good. I had the pot roast and Dave had the fried chicken. We thoroughly enjoyed another relaxing day just doing whatever we wanted and being together. On our way into the park we saw the construction zone where they are building the new Star Wars Land...we call it our sneak peek!
Waiting for the Monorail...
