Makayela out in the yard...throwing snowballs with Joel!
So we are going to Utah! We have tickets to a session of General Conference (totally excited about that!) and get to spend some time with my little bro. Eric, his fun wife Randa, and their cutie patooties Kai, Makayela and Carson. Can't wait! I went to work at 6 a.m. so I could get off at noon and we could hit the road! Dave took the day off and had the car packed when I got home from work. Clif had left a few days earlier with friends and would meet us up there. So Joel, Dave and I hit the road for a lengthy drive. Amazingly it went quite quickly as we listened to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on CD (much thanks to our friends the Brunsviks for loaning it to us!) and received a joke via text from Randa every hour. That was so much fun!! We all had good laughs over them. We arrived in Springville around 12:30 a.m. Long drive but not too bad. Very grateful for prayers of protection too, as a truck in front of us lost a mattress it was hauling, it fell off right in front of us and Dave was able to swerve and miss it and thankfully, no other cars hit it either. We also drove through a crazy snow storm between St. George and Cedar City (somewhere...it was dark!) Again, we were safe and got through it. We felt very blessed! We were not too excited that there was snow on the ground when we arrived in Springville...but not too much so it should be fine. Kai had woken up just before we arrived and was able to show us that he had lost his first tooth that day! These pictures are from Friday morning.
