Commencement was in the Marriott Center. There was a full house! We took a couple of pictures before hand. Our graduate looked so beautiful! We are so proud of her! She of course actually graduated in December, but they don't do a ceremony then so she had to wait until April to "walk." We were way up high in the nose bleed section because so much of the center was reserved for the graduates. I think they said somewhere close to 6000. We stood up for them as they came in (took almost 45 minutes!) and we watched on the big screen for her, but we never could see her. Elder L. Whitney Clayton was the keynote speaker and he was wonderful. After the Commencement we caught up with Amanda outside (thank goodness for cell phones!) and took a few more pictures. Such a wonderful occasion! We were sad Dad couldn't be there, but it was at 4 in the afternoon and we had to leave extra early for Amanda to be there and he just couldn't get out of work. He promised to be there the next day for the Convocation.
Can you see all of us? Lilly and Joel down on the end? Nate hadn't arrived yet...but he was there before it started! Again, cell phones helped so he could find out where we were sitting!
