On Friday, Grandpa had the day off work so we decided to drive up to Shaver lake and hopefully find some snow to play in. (lots of pictures alert...) We borrowed coats, gloves and boots for the grandsons and headed up the road. We were sad to see that there was hardly any snow! And what little there was, was hard and frozen! It was still a beautiful day and we hiked around a bit and tried to make a few snowballs!
David liked throwing rocks into the lake. Grandpa skipped a few rocks in there too, that was fun to watch...
Jacob loved walking around and finding rocks...he sat on the log next to me and I asked him where Grandma was...that's why he's pointing at me!
It was beautiful, but COLD...Jacob was in a friendly mood!
And of course David was having a great time!
Jacob didn't like being down on the snow...so wanted to be held when we were anywhere near a patch of it...
Jacob not wanting in the snow...David had fun checking out every inch of it...
It was more fun when they found giant pinecones!
David managed to scrape up a couple of snowballs and throw them at the rocks and trees (Grandpa helped scrape them up...that snow was HARD)...
Cheese!
My sweet babies! Love those red cheeks! Grandma can't kiss them enough!
Grandpa and David tried to make snow angels...the snow wouldn't even MOVE...but it was fun trying!
A nice picture of MY angel...
David is King of the Rock!!
Walking back to have our lunch...Dave and David... love these guys!
We ate lunch in the car...Jacob LOVES to drive Grandpa's car! He makes sound effects too!
David...too cute for words!!
It was a fun morning even though there wasn't snow to play in. We enjoyed the drive and just being together! Wish the rest of the family could have been with us! Thanks Grandpa for taking us to the lake!
