Walter and I went to the school to have cookies and read books with Jacob. Walter couldn't quite stay awake. It was his nap time after all. Jacob and I enjoyed the cookies and I loved having him read to me. He also read a book he made. He wrote the story and drew the pictures. It was very cute. He is very cute! I love getting to go do these things with the kids!

Little old people...
On the 100th day of school, the kids like to dress up as 100 year olds. I drew a few lines on their faces and they dressed up! Jacob didn't want to participate this year but David and Lilly had great fun bending over and walking like little old people. Happy 100th day!

Zan Man returns...
I got to watch Zander for a couple of days while his other sitter was out of town. He had fun playing with Walter's toys and his old favorite dinosaurs. I started tending two other little boys two days a week for about 2-3 hours so Zander got to meet them. He and Jett look about the same age in size, but Jett is only 2! He's a big boy! I think they all had fun. It was fun to see Zander again and how much he has grown into a little preschooler.

David turns 10!
I cannot believe this little man who made me a grandma turned 10 today! Where does the time go? Wow...He had a regular day at school and after a nice dinner out we opened presents before bed. I gave him a mounted print of his favorite picture (him and Walter in matching clothes) which is adorable, and he also got an easy piano Star Wars book I thought he would have fun learning to play out of. Happy Birthday little David! You are still lighting up our lives! XOXO (Had to throw in a fun, current picture of Walter!)

Real snow!
It has been almost a month since the last real snow (Christmas day) and we got it good! YAY! I laughed when I saw the crossing sign, like the little WALK guy is trudging through the snow. I am so excited to see some snow! And the kids are glad to have some to play in, even if it will be gone in a day or two...

Frozen...
Still no snow, but some good hard freezes! This morning left quite a design on Dad's car window. Looks kind of like roses to me. I saw it when I was taking out the trash, had to take a picture! Dave did a number on his big toe today. If you don't turn on the garage light when you are going down the concrete stairs, it is really easy to miss that last step and go crashing down! I have done it twice so I now know to turn on the light! He went down hard and looks like he will lose his big toenail! I feel so bad for him and hope he recovers quickly! He says he will miss work tomorrow because he won't be able to get his shoe on! He wouldn't let me take a picture of his toe because it looked so bad...so I took a picture of the evidence...

Snow? What Snow?
The snow we got a few days ago didn't even stick...now it is sunny and the kids are playing outside in their shirt sleeves! It is true that Utah has fickle weather!

Finally some snow!
We are not getting much snow this winter! The last time (and first time) it snowed was Christmas day. Now it is the 8th of January and we got a LITTLE bit. Not near enough for my liking (or what the valley needs) but if we get some down here, then at least we know there is more up on the mountain. Yay! And I had to add this picture of Walter who dribbles up a storm! He is so cute! Jacob will say, "Grandma, I have a question." What's that Jacob? "Can Walter get any cuter!?" ha ha. He has a point! Jacob is pretty cute too!

Six months already!
How can this cute little man be 6 months old already!? He is a sweetheart and we all enjoy him very much. He has a fun personality and is quite the charmer with those blue eyes!

New Year! 2018...
New year's day Lilly donned her new apron that Grandma Barbara sent her (with a matching one for Amanda!) and we made cookies! A fun way to spend the day, eating cookies, watching movies, doing puzzles and reading books. A relaxing day! Happy New Year!
