Soccer season came and went quickly this year it seems. Grandpa and I only got to a few games but enough to get some pictures. Lilly didn't want to play this year. David's team is in black and Jacob's team is in green. Jacob's coach was a military man so they did the marching and cadence. It was funny. They were good sports and did a good job. Go teams!

Memorial Day...
We drove out to the cemetery to place flowers for Memorial Day. No matter how early we go, cousin Joni always beats us there! She had already placed some pots of flowers as she does every year. We added our flowers to Mom and Dad's grave and Lori's. The cemetery just looked so pretty and peaceful. So many flowers! Then we drove to the Provo Cemetery to place flowers on Aunt Ruth's grave (Barbara's sister) and then realized we should have brought more flowers for her son's grave. Next time! It only took us a few minutes to locate the headstones (we had located them when Barbara was here to visit last summer) and again, the cemetery just looked beautiful with so many flowers. Happy Memorial day 2017!
Lilly's baptism...
Lilly's special day! So glad we could be there to see her get baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! She looked so pretty all in white. We had a nice brunch afterwards at our house and enjoyed this special day. The kids ate outside on a blanket and Lilly was so excited to find a little snake in the yard! She played with it for a long time before we made her let it go so she could go to her mom's. She cried and cried that she couldn't keep that snake!

My baby is 22!
I cannot believe Joel is 22 today! And that he has been home from his mission going on two years! (in Sept). WOW. Time sure does fly! We ordered pizza hut for dinner and of course made the oreo ice cream cake that is a favorite (not just of Joel's!). He got some gifts and his mom did his laundry for him. ha ha. He then went to play basketball with his friends at the church and they gave him a tee-shirt and had party hats and a cake of somekind. I remember his birth like it was yesterday and how excited we all were to have him join our family! Wait, it WAS just yesterday! Happy birthday Joel! We sure love you and are glad you completed our little family!

Jacob's class program...
Our last program of the year, and sadly, our last 1st grade program with Miss Andrus! We have had her three years in a row and always love the program her class puts on at the end of the year. They share with us what they have learned through the year and they share it by song. Each child has a line to say and Jacob did great on his line! He was the cutest first grader in our opinion! We love Miss Andrus and wish she would move to another grade so we could have her again! Great program and the perfect way to end our school year! The candy leis she hands out are a hit too and they love to high five her, each in their own way!

Lilly's Paint Party...
Being the little artist that Lilly is, we knew she would love a painting party! We found a lady from our old ward in American Fork who brings the party to you! As she was setting up for the party, Lilly drew this great picture of her friends and the set up (painting the Eiffel Tower). Debbie took them through the painting one step at a time. They all turned out so cute and each one unique to the person who painted it! There was an extra spot (which was paid for) so Grandma even tried her luck at it. I sat next to Peyton Laing because we are both left handed. Peyton's turned out much better than mine! It was a fun party and so fun to see how they all turned out! All the party guests signed the sample painting of the teacher's and Lilly got to keep it. There were of course presents and Amanda made a darling paint palette cake! The art teacher cleans up while we do presents and cake. What a super fun party! Grandma might want to do that for her birthday! Except my Eiffel Tower doesn't look near as good as the 8 year old's ha ha. Happy #8 Lilly! This time she held up the right amount of fingers. hee hee.
