Here are the rest of the pictures from our last day at Disneyland. We sure had fun! The Jedi training was very exciting. So fun to see the young ones fighting Darth Vader and using "the force" to beat him. Quite the entertainment! We enjoyed dinner while waiting for the parade and our lovely french pastry dessert (can't remember the name of them) shaped like Mickey and covered in powdered sugar...The boys were so cute waving at everyone in the parade. David was very vocal and made eye contact with a lot of them...Jacob was a little more shy, and kept his wave down low, but was still very entranced by it all. We loved the Chimney Sweeps (I actually caught them in midair in the picture!) and Bert and Mary Poppins...it was all very fun. After the parade we did the Winnie the Pooh ride again for Jacob because it was "so cute!" That was one of our last rides of the day. We loved riding in the honey pot cars...Dave and Amanda went to do space mountain while we waited for the parade, but it was not working at that time (there were more problems with rides while we were there!). We had also gone to ride the monorail which we had been watching every day, and when we got there, it was shut down for electrical problems. Oh well. We definitely had a great time and got our money's worth. David and Jacob were both very brave and rode Thunder Mountain Railroad! David rode it twice! That was our very last ride...Jacob wanted to try it so they went (I passed on that one!). It was getting dark and Dave had put his BYU hat in the pouch on the ride and forgot to get it when he got off! Good thing the day was over and the sun had gone down. He went back to try and get it, and even checked several of the cars, but it was nowhere. Glad I only paid 5 bucks for it at Wal Mart. Jacob was very proud that he was "so brave" and the only tears we had the entire time was at the end of the day when David bonked his head on the Winnie the Pooh ride! Thanks Disneyland for the memories! My two favorite pictures are this one of Jacob resting on Grandpa's shoulder, and the boys in front of Haunted Mansion giving me their "Scary" face! It was so fun sharing Disneyland with these cuties! Many thanks to Amanda for being our "Trip Advisor" and all around party planner! At the end of the day she showed us how to relieve the tension in your feet and legs by putting them up on the wall. Something she learned while working the Princess Trains in Alaska all those years ago! Bye Bye Disneyland...for now. We will have to come do this again!

Last Disneyland day...part one
We did a lot at Disneyland! This will take two posts with all the pictures we took! As soon as we got in the park we met Donald Duck! We were practically first in line! We spent more time in Adventureland and Toon Town this day. Met Mickey Mouse and Goofy and enjoyed a parade! We saw Olaf and tried to get the sword out of the stone. It was a great day! Still hot, but we had fun. We did the haunted mansion (again! 4 times total for Jacob and I!) and some of them did Indiana Jones again, and Star Tours. We also did Buzz Lightyear again. If the lines were ever short for one of our favorites, we jumped in and did it. We used fast passes on a few things, but just got lucky in the length of lines quite a few times. You can tell which rides are the favorites! The ones we did again and again! We did the teacups again with everyone this time, and Mr. Toad's wild ride, (Jacob didn't like it the first time, but was agreeable to do it again as long as someone else sat by the steering wheel) Peter Pan, Pinocchio and Dumbo...I don't know if I can even remember all the rides! We did the storyland boat ride, not as fun as Small World, but since that was closed, this will have to do. David took a rest on the Jolly Trolley in Toon Town...he and Jacob did not like the door that buzzed and shocked when you tried to open it! But they did have fun in the Jail. One of the fun events was the Jedi Training! We sure hoped David would get picked, but he didn't. It was still fun to watch, and when that whole platform rises up out of the ground and Darth Vader comes out...well, David was in heaven! Darth Maul and some storm troopers were there too. It was very fun! The little kids got to battle Darth Vader...and of course the good guys won. I will post those pictures on the next post...this is enough photos for one post! We rented a stroller again for the day. Even though David barely fits in it, it helped with all the walking we did. Wish someone could have pushed me!

Disneyland adventures...
Today we went "early" to Disneyland. We had the passes that let you in an hour early. With a million other people ha ha. We rented a stroller to make the day a bit easier. Boy was it hot! So glad we had the squirt/fan bottle. David kept us cool whenever we needed a spritz! Also, you can go in any restaurant there and ask for ice water and they will give it to you. They don't want anyone passing out from the heat! Our first stop was Star Tours. There was no line so we got right in! Since Disney bought the rights to Star Wars, the movie was different! It is still one of the very fun rides! Funny to see more of the Star Wars clips and characters. Jacob got his leg "bonked" on that ride so he didn't like it very much. The rest of us loved it! We then went on the Buzz Lightyear ride - you shoot laser to try and beat the Evil Emporer. That was very fun too! Then the other rode the rocket ship ride, I stayed off and took picture. I don't care for the rides that go high up. I don't think Amanda cared for it too much either, but she is a good mom and rode with Jacob. Other rides we did throughout the day; The Disneyland train, the Jungle Boat Cruise, Winnie the Pooh (Jacob says "It's so cute!"), the Carousel, Indiana Jones (except for me and Jacob), and when Amanda and Little David went back to ride Indiana Jones again, Dave, Jacob and I rode the teacups! The pirates ride was closed, so was Small World (Jacob's favorite) and the Finding Nemo ride. They were building the Nemo ride last time we were there (7 years ago?) so we still haven't seen it! Dave and Amanda stood in a LONG line to get us a Dole Whip (which everyone said we needed to get!). It was very refreshing on a hot, hot day. Pineapple isn't my favorite, but it was soft ice cream and very tasty at the moment! The Indiana Jones ride was working off and on, but they did manage to ride it a few times. While they rode it another time, Jacob and I went back and did the haunted mansion! That was so fun. I'm glad that he likes my favorite ride. They also went to ride splash mountain. Jacob and I found our own things to do like sit and rest and eat snacks! It was a hot but fun day. The boys did really good and never complained. Whenever I heard children crying in "the happiest place on earth" I was so grateful our little boys do so well! Here's a "few" pictures of our fun!
