Mormon Helping Hands...

On April 30th, across the state of California, it was Mormon Helping Hands day.  There were service projects state-wide.  Our ward participated in planting trees for the City of Clovis.  It was beautiful weather, many people showed up to help, and we were done in about two hours.  What a great way to start our Saturday!  I love working alongside my fellow ward members...they are extended family to say the least.  I must admit that I had a cushy job and didn't really "work" but somebody HAD to check people in and serve the muffins and orange juice at the end.  My bum leg appreciated the easy job...and it was great fun doing that job with Kristi...we had a great chat as well as greeting all our friends and neighbors.  Here are a few pictures of the day...

 Lots of pole pounding in the neighborhood!  Ryan was our "leader" for the morning (back to the camera) and we sure appreciated all his organizing and leadership efforts!

 And only one injury that I am aware of...pole pounder meets head...Hutch is applying ice and stopping the bleeding...it was a self-inflicted wound...Logan just doesn't know his own strength!

A planted tree, waiting for it's stakes.  I believe there were around 115 trees planted that morning.  It will be fun to go walking or bike riding and watch the growth of these trees through the coming years.  Clif helped his ward clean up Bicentennial Park.  And with that, April has come to a close!
